Santa Claus at Silver Bell Farm - Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at events@silverbellfarm.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Yes! Families are welcome to take their own photos during their visit. A staff member may be available to help snap a quick picture on your device when possible.

To keep the line moving and give everyone a chance to visit, Santa visits are brief — usually just a few minutes per family. Please plan for quick photos rather than extended photo sessions.

Professional photography and equipment (such as tripods, lighting, or private portrait sessions) are not permitted during Santa visits.

Santa loves seeing every family who stops by, but he has a very full schedule at the farm. Each visit is meant to be a few minutes long — just enough time to say hello, share a wish or two, and take a quick photo.

Keeping visits short helps ensure that everyone waiting in line gets their turn to experience the magic.

Because this is the real Santa, he’s always popular — and sometimes that means a short wait. We’ll do our best to keep things moving and make the experience comfortable for everyone.

Visits are meant to be brief — usually just a few minutes per family — so that everyone has a chance to see Santa and share a little Christmas magic.

Yes. Santa keeps a busy schedule at the farm! Throughout the day he’ll step away from visits for a few short breaks (even Santa needs lunch and cocoa), and he also has special moments planned — like story times or North Pole Gadget demonstrations — that take place at set times.

During these periods, the Santa visit line will pause until he’s finished. We’ll post his daily appearance and activity schedule online, at the farm entrance, and inside the Activity Center so families can plan their visit accordingly.

Please note that Santa wraps up his visits for the day at 4:00PM sharp. Once the line reaches capacity, additional guests may not be able to join. We encourage families to plan their visit to the farm earlier in the day so everyone has the best chance to see Santa before he heads back to the North Pole for the evening.

The City Sidewalk Café and Bakery will be open on tree season weekends, offering hot cocoa and treats for purchase. Gingerbread cookie decorating and s’mores kits may also be available. Don't forget to stop by our brand new gift shop for unique gifts, souvenirs, and our farm-made soy candles! Weather permitting, Barrel Train Rides,  the play area, sandbox, and pedal tractors may be open as well.

Silver Bell Farm is open in most weather conditions — even when it snows! The farm only closes in the event of extreme weather or unsafe conditions.

If a closure or schedule change is necessary, we’ll post updates on Facebook and on our website. You can also call the farm directly at 413-596-4370 for the latest information about openings or delays.

As much as we love dogs, they are not allowed to see Santa.  Because the farm will be open to the public, we want to make sure that it's safe and comfortable for everyone.  Food is also served inside the Activity Center, so we cannot allow dogs inside.  Thank you for understanding!
