Silver Bell Nights - Frequently Asked Questions

Everyone attending Silver Bell Nights (ages 3 and up) must have a ticket to enter the farm during the event, including those who plan to stay indoors or accompany others. Tickets help us manage attendance, staffing, and safety throughout the property. Children age 2 and under do not need a ticket.


There are activities for everyone of all ages at Silver Bell Nights!  Kids will love our indoor play tables, two outdoor playgrounds, unlimited Barrel Train rides, and saying "Hello" to Santa and Mrs. Claus. Everyone will enjoy a 3/4 mile stroll through a Winter Wonderland filled with festive scenes, photo ops, and pure holiday magic.  Our new gift shop, Santa's Sleigh Shop, is open for souvenirs and our famous hand-poured candles, and you can also indulge in sweet treats, hot cocoa, pretzels, and cider donuts from the City Sidewalk Cafe. 


Entrance times for the show are every half hour, starting at 4:30PM and ending at either 7:00PM, 7:30PM, or 8:00PM depending on the day.  (The 4:30PM "Twilight" time slot is new this year for families with younger children and those looking for an earlier start.) After checking in for your time slot, you are welcome to stay at the farm for as long as you'd like to explore the light trail, visit the gift shop, and enjoy the farm.  The farm typically remains open until at least 9:30 PM for later time slots, and most guests end up spending up to 1.5 hours at the farm. 


When you arrive, start by checking in at the ticket booth. From there, kick off your adventure with a visit to Santa's Sleigh Shop, Santa's Barnyard, and the North Pole Fire Station.

Next, you have two options:

  1. Head into the Activity Center to warm up with a cup of cocoa or a sweet treat before heading out on the trail.
  2. Pass through the Light Canopy and venture down the hill to start exploring the Light Trail.

At the bottom of the hill, you’ll find the Jingle Junction Play Area, Barrel Train Rides, and the continuation of the Light Trail. Follow the path through dazzling light displays, interactive features, and magical surprises!


Please arrive at the farm no earlier  than your selected time slot and no later than 30 minutes after it. For  example, if you purchased tickets for 5 PM, you should arrive between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM. This guidance applies to all time slots, but the farm will not be open before 4:20 PM for the first time slot of the night, so early arrivals cannot be accommodated. This includes using the restrooms and entering the Activity Center. This helps us control crowds on the farm and keep the event fun for everyone. Please plan ahead accordingly.


We recommend advance reservations because we cannot accept walk-ins on nights when we are sold out.   We limit capacity to ensure the best experience for everyone - this includes parking, the check-in experience, and out on the trail.  

That said, on days when we are not sold out, you may be able to purchase tickets at the farm if there is availability when you arrive.  You should check availability on our ticket page and also call the farm at 413-596-4370 before you leave just to make sure you aren't disappointed when you arrive.  Thank you for understanding and for helping us make this a magical experience for everyone!


Depending on how quickly you walk, and how much you stop to take pictures, the trail can take anywhere from 30 - 45 minutes. Plan to spend about an hour to 1.5 hours at the farm.  If your kids love riding the Barrel Train, you might want to plan for longer!


The farm stays open until the last group has finished, within reason. Most visitors spend about 1 to 1.5 hours enjoying the light show and activities. If you have tickets for 8 PM, you’ll have plenty of time, as the farm typically remains open until at least 9:30 PM for later time slots. If you have any questions or concerns, please ask the attendant at the ticket booth when you check in.


Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the show every night.  Stay tuned for their locations this year! You can stop to say "Hello" and snap your own pictures with both of them. We do not provide digital photographs at this event.


While the farm includes handicap parking, and the Gift Shop and Activity Center are ADA compliant, the event includes a 3/4 mile gravel trail over the hilly terrain of the farm. There is some  level of accessibility depending on the patron’s level of mobility and  device.  If you have specific needs or questions, please call the farm at 413-596-4370, and we will do our best to accommodate and assist. 


All guests on site during Silver Bell Nights are required to have a ticket. However, if you’re unable to walk the trail, you’re welcome to relax in the Activity Center or other accessible areas while your group enjoys the lights. Our team is happy to help make your visit comfortable and enjoyable. If you have specific needs or questions, please call the farm at 413-596-4370, and we will do our best to accommodate and assist. 


Like other large events (sporting events, live theater, etc.) we do not offer refunds if the show takes place and you cannot attend for any reason, including illness. Please keep this in mind when you are purchasing tickets. Third-party purchase protection will be available through the ticketing site in the event that you are unable to attend due to illness or an emergency.  Please review the full terms and conditions of the Purchase Protection plan to understand the acceptable circumstances and documentation needed to file a claim.  (For example, in most cases, an illness claim will require documentation from the doctor or Urgent Care.) The service is provided by a third party and we will not be able to assist with claims processing. 

If the show is cancelled for inclement weather or any other reason, you will receive a full refund and can re-book for another date in the future if there is availability.

In some cases, you can reschedule your tickets to another night if there is availability and it is more than a week before your scheduled date. Send an email with your request to events@silverbellfarm.com and someone will help you.

If it is the day of the event and you cannot attend due to illness, we are typically not able to reschedule you for another night.  Purchase Protection is available for these instances.  


If you added Purchase Protection to your tickets, all date-change and refund requests must go through the Protection provider. We’re unable to adjust or reschedule tickets covered by a Purchase Protection plan. Please submit your claim directly through the provider, and they will process the request according to their policy. (Refer to the email from Purchase Protection for contact information.  The email was sent immediately after your purchase.)


Yes, you can transfer your tickets to someone else if you are unable to attend.  In most cases you can transfer the tickets using the Transfer My Tickets  page here: https://silverbellfarm.ticketspice.com/silver-bell-nights-2025/transfer

We want everyone to have the best possible experience at Silver Bell Nights, so we will typically cancel the show if there is heavy rain or a snow storm in the forecast.  In the case of a scattered shower, or light snow, the show may take place as scheduled. We will notify all ticket holders in advance by email and provide full refunds in the event of cancellation.  You can re-purchase tickets for another night if there is availability.  


No, we are an outdoor winter event, and cold temperatures are part of the experience! We encourage you to bundle up in warm layers, hats, gloves, and sturdy footwear to enjoy the magic of Silver Bell Nights comfortably. In most cases, the event will go on as planned. However, in the rare instance of severe weather, we’ll notify ticket holders of any changes. 


 If we need to cancel the event, we will notify all ticket holders by email and share updates on Facebook and our website. If the weather looks questionable, please check these platforms for the latest information.

You’re welcome to call the farm, but please note that we may be busy managing snow removal and might not be able to answer promptly.

In the event of a cancellation, we will issue a full refund for your tickets, and you’ll receive confirmation via email. You’re welcome to rebook for another available night at your convenience. Thank you for your patience and understanding!



Purchase Protection claims are handled by a third party and all claims must be submitted within 48 hours after the end of the scheduled event. (You cannot file a claim before the event takes place.) To file a claim, visit www.purchaseprotection.com and select Claims. Please review the full terms and conditions to make sure that your reason for not attending falls into acceptable circumstances and be prepared to supply the appropriate documentation.  

Refer to the email from Purchase Protection for some of the information that you need to file your claim.  The email was sent immediately after your purchase.

Upon receipt of a claim, the team at Purchase Protection will review the submission and provide a response within 10 business days. Approved claims will receive a refund for the amount of the ticket fees and taxes in the form of a check.


In most cases, we cannot move tickets to a later date unless we are sure we will cancel. There are times when we can move people to earlier dates, and we will contact you by email if we can do that.


First, check your spam folder for an email from Silver Bell Farm - our messages sometimes end up there.  If that doesn't work, you can request a new confirmation email on your own by setting up an account with TicketSpice here (it's easy!): https://silverbellfarm.account.webconnex.com/login/

After you log in to your account, click View Details to view your tickets, and then click Resend Email to receive a new confirmation email.  If you still don't see the confirmation email, please send an email to events@silverbellfarm.com and someone will help you.


As much as we love dogs, we do not allow them on the trails at Silver Bell Nights so that we can ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all attendees. Thank you for understanding!


No, we do not sell alcohol at Silver Bell Nights. Our focus is on creating a fun and welcoming environment for everyone, and we’ve found that alcohol often detracts from the overall experience. Outside alcohol (including coolers, nips, etc.) is not allowed, and guests who bring it or appear intoxicated may be asked to leave to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation! 


At this time, we do not have any discounts or different rates for specific groups.  There is something for everyone to enjoy at Silver Bell Nights, and we keep it simple by having one ticket price for everyone.
